world to help save the earth and promote environmentally friendly
activity. Each teenage was given a special ring, with the forces
of Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Heart. When challenges become too
tough for the youngsters, they combine the powers of all 5 rings
to summon Captain Planet!

longer stand the terrible destruction plaguing our planet. She sends
5 magic rings to 5 special young people - Kwame from Africa, the

From the Soviet Union, Linka, with the power of Wind. From Asia,
Gi, with the power of Water. And from South America, Ma-ti with

Apparently, in late 2007,
Ted Turner (co-creator) was in talks regarding a Captain Planet
movie. Turner said that he had spoken to Colin Farrell about the
role of Captain Planet.
No recent news on that one though....
